Story
On Sunday 7th April 2024 I will be running in the Brighton marathon. I have chosen this challenge in order to support a charity called Duchenne UK. Two of my very close friends Adam and Abi have 2 special little boys Sam and Ben who have been diagnosed with Duchenne, a genetic disorder, which means a progressive loss of muscle. I will be training to a set plan which will include a running schedule and a strict diet to give myself the best chance of completing the run. Whilst I realise times are difficult for us all at this time, please spare an affordable donation to my just giving page to support these boys and this wonderful charity. Many thanks.
Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a devastating muscle-wasting disease. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed in childhood, it mainly affects boys. Started by families affected by the disease, Duchenne UK is the leading DMD charity in the UK: connecting the best researchers with industry, the NHS and families to advance and accelerate every stage of drug development. Together, we will end Duchenne.
